Nothing is permanent

A long time back, there was a man named Golian. He was an ardent devotee of God. He read the religious texts every day and do everything that God may shower his blessings upon him. But Golian was very poor. At times, he doesn't have money for buying food for himself and his family. Golian was a potter by profession. Despite all the difficulties, he was such a statue of patience that none can break him. He accepted all the difficulties. But his only sorrow was that he can't feed his family enough.
One day, a saint arrived at his home. He welcomed him and gave him all his food to eat. There was no food left for his family. The saint was very pleased but was very sorrowful for Golian's poverty. He asked," Golian, why don't you ask God to remove your poverty? God will help you." Golian answered," O saint! I have accepted what God gave me. Just like God gave me poverty, He can also make me rich. Nothing is permanent in this world. My poverty is also temporary. I am doing work all day to serve my family. The fruit of my hard work will be given by Him. I can do the work but the fruit is not in my hand. God will pluck it for me. " The saint told, "May God bless you" and took leave from Golian's home.
Years later, he again went to Golian. He was surprised to see that Golian's house has become a large one. Golian and his family members were dressed in the best clothes. They all welcomed the saint. The saint asked," How this all happened?" Golian replied," Last time when you took leave from my house, a few days after your leave, a stranger got caught in the rains. We sheltered him and fed him. The next day, the stranger took leave. Later that day, that stranger came and offered me a job at the king's place. The king was much pleased by me and made me a rich person. I work in the king's place and my position is next to the king. Thanks to God." The saint said," Praises to Him and praises to you Golian. Your patience is rewarded by Him. I now understand that nothing is permanent, only one has to keep patience for upcoming good times."
